What is your image communicating to the world?

Is what your image tells the world about you consistent with who you really are and want to convey?

Does it represent you well and show your best qualities and strengths to potential clients and important colleagues?

If your answer is yes, you're probably talking to the right audience: those customers you want to attract, the kind of people you want to have relationships with, that opportunity you want so badly.

However, if this is not the case, it might be a good time to start reviewing your concepts on the subject.

Dressing, one of the most important aspects of image, is a powerful form of communication. Everytime you choose what you will wear, from specific outfits to colors, accessories, textures and lines, you are sending different messages, which others will invariably use to draw conclusions about you.

Not using this important tool to your advantage (and to feel empowered in the process) is leaving this inevitable interpretation to chance.

Your image is also composed of your mannerisms, your tone of voice, the choice of words, your behavior, posture, presence… even your haircut and nail polish color tells interesting things about your personality, lifestyle and culture.

Do you look trustworthy? Competent? Creative? Communicative or timid? As a leader or a follower?

Ask around, it’s a good place to start!

Taking care of your image as a whole is far from vanity: it can be a valuable tool to staying ahead of your competition and help you on your journey to personal and professional success.
